BMW follow Honda out of F1

BMW decision to withdraw from Formula 1 at the end of the year following the announcement on Wednesday held at a press conference at the German headquarters in Munich. BMW become Formula One entrants in 2006 after taking over the Swiss Sauber team. The team said the decision to withdraw stems from desire to dedicate more resources to developing new, sustainable road car technologies. Last year the team become one of the favorite championship with contender Robert Kubica but this year they aren't doing good and just score 8 points to date.

Felipe Massa had a freak accident during the qualifying for the Hungary Grand Prix. A spring from the rear suspension of Ruben Barrichello's Brawn GP formula one car was lose and hit Felipe Massa in the face and knock him unconcious, the car hit the tyre barrier at estimated of 120mph .Luckily Massa was able to escape life treatening injuries. Felipe Massa is awake and in stable condition at the moment but will he beable to be fot for the next gran prix is still an issue. Michael Schumacher may also consider to replace Felipe Massa as a replacement driver in Felipe Massa cockpit during his absence.

Ferrari has officially release the latest image and information of the mid-rear engined supercar before the Frankfurt Motor Show which will be taken place during the September. The name 'Ferrari 458 Italia' represent the number of cylinders of the engine.
The engine is 4.5-liter V8 with direct injection with the fuel consumption of 13.7/100km (17.2mpg). Ferrari 458 Italia had 570HP at 9,000 RPM and a max torque of 540Nm or 398.2 lb-ft at 6,000 rpm. 0-62mph (100kmh) comes just under 3.4 second and maximum speed of 202mph(325kmh). The Ferrari 458 Italia is equipped with the seven-speed dual-cluth transmission.

259 Car Involve In Crash At The Authobahn

More than 60 people were injured in a motorway crash involving 259 cars in Germany. The accident happened on the A2 autobahn between Hanover and Peine.
German motorway police said 10 people suffered life-threatening injuries and 21 others were seriously injured in a series of accidents believed to have been caused by a combination of excessive speed and heavy rain.

Lamborghini Insecta Concept

The name says it all....The Lamborghini Insecta is inspired by insects and it is design by Iulian Bunbu,a Graduate of the Transportation Desogn Course at the Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) in Milan. The previous post is Bumbu's latest design BMW SX Concept. The Lamborhini Insecta design is similiar to the Lamborghini Gallardo. The interior features the U shape steering wheel and a high centre console which devides the passenger compartment in two.

BMW S.X Concept

The BMW SX Concept is design by Iuliam Bunbu, a graduate of the Transportation Design Course at the Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) in Milan. Bumbu’s previous designs include the Lamborghini Insecta concept. The BMW SX Concept is very well position to take over the current BMW 6 Series. The design is wider and lower then the current 6 series but slightly shorter in overall length. Moreover, the BMW SX Concept maintains the traditional BMW headlamp and front design.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing in Nurburgring Hot Lap

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing is the first car developed in-house by Mercedes' performance division AMG. It features aluminum chassis and body.

The Gullwing will come with a 6.3 liter, naturally aspirated V8 with 571 hp and 650 Nm of torque. 0 to 100 km/h will be 3.8 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in 12. There's a self-imposed speed limit of 315 km/h on the Gullwing and ceramic brakes to help reign it in as quickly as possible.

The Gullwing is scheduled to go on sale in the spring of 2010. Price is expected to be somewhere around 140,000 euros.

Ferrari California got impounded by Australia Police under anti hoon law.

Police in Australia have impounded a Ferrari California - one of only two in Australia - after its driver was allegedly clocked driving at 231km/h through the West Australian.

The red monster had been recorded travelling more than twice the legal limit when spotted by police.

The Ferrari's 57-year-old male driver is say to be a journalist and he would be charged with reckless driving.

"Just because a car is worth a lot of money, it doesn't give the driver any better road sense,"?? Then whats the point of buying a fast car? or even allowed it to be sold in Australia?

The $470,000 Ferrari has been impounded for 28 days and towed to a police receival unit in Perth.

Futhermore, the whole Australia had only 60 people die on road toll a year. Well if everyone drive Ferrari and it cost so much perhaps it would cut the road toll to 10? LOL

Finally after 6 season in Formula One..Mark Webber has done it!

Finally Mark Webber has won the German grand prix from pole, beating his Red Bull team-mate Sebastian Vettel into second place after strong challenges from Rubens Barrichello and third-placed Felipe Massa. The world championship leader Jenson Button finished in fifth place.

Mark Webber finally won his first Formula One victory after his 130th attempt. Red bull had a good car and luck was on Mark Webber side at the German Gran Prix. I am a big fans of Ferrari but i have to say congrats to the Aussie. Good work and keep it up!

Lewis Hamilton Give Mercedes Home Boost in Germany Gran Prix pratice session 2.

Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time during Friday afternoon’s second practice session for the German Grand Prix, as conditions at the Nurburgring remained cold and overcast.

The world champion lapped his Mercedes-powered McLaren in 1m 32.149s, to depose Sebastian Vettel. The British race winner made up for the time he lost with an electronic problem in the morning, and pushed his Red Bull to 1m 32.331s, just ahead of Jenson Button on 1m 32.369s for Brawn.

Behind them, Red Bull’s Mark Webber posted 1m 32.480s to head Toyota’s Jarno Trulli (1m 32.511s), Force India’s Adrian Sutil (1m 32.585s), Brawn GP’s Rubens Barrichello (1m 32.664s), Renault’s Fernando Alonso (1m 32.774s), Williams’ Kazuki Nakajima (1m 32.872s) and Renault’s Nelson Piquet (1m 32.992s).

It was slightly warmer than Friday morning with an ambient temperature of 13 degrees Celsius and a track temperature of 22.

Nick Heidfeld headed the second half of the field with 1m 33.012s for BMW Sauber, followed by Ferrari’s Felipe Massa (1m 33.052s), Williams’ Nico Rosberg (1m 33.128s), BMW Sauber’s Robert Kubica (1m 33.161s), Toyota’s Timo Glock (1m 33.172s), Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen (1m 33.182s), McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen (1m 33.724s) and Toro Rosso’s Sebastien Buemi (1m 33.903s).

The beleaguered Sebastien Bourdais in the second Toro Rosso was 19th on 1m 34.025s, while Giancarlo Fisichella was at the back on 1m 38.877s after crashing his Force India early on when there were some rain spots.

Several drivers missed the chicane of went on at Turn One, but the only one to spin was Hamilton, in that first corner.
