BMW reveal its 7 Series Active Hybrid









BMW revealed its 2010 7 Series Active Hybrid before the Frankfurt Motor Show. The all new 2010 7 Series Active Hybrid will go on sale next spring in the United States.
The all new 2010 7 Series Active Hybrid engine is power by 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 which collaborate with a 3 phase synchronous electric motor and output of 455hp and 516Ib-ft of torque. The all new 2010 7 Series Active Hybrid goes from 0-100km/h (60mph) in 4.8 second.

The gearbox for the 2010 7 Series Active Hybrid is equipped with 8 speed automatic transmission and the fuel efficientcy of the 2010 7 Series Active Hybrid is 15% lower compare to the current 750i.

The 2010 7 Series Active Hybrid also equipped with an automatic start and stop system for fuel efficiency purpose but yet allow the vehicle's air conditioning system running via the battery. BMW also adapt technologies from its current F1 cars KERS system, instead of boosting extra power into the car for overtaking purpose, BMW brake energy regeneration system allow the battery onboard to charge itself.

A special badge will also be fitted to the car to make sure poeple knows which model of the 7 Series you are driving.
The all new 2010 7 Series Active Hybrid will debut next month in the Frankfurt Motorshow.
